Co. Antrim Allianz Cumann na mBunscol County Hurling Finals   27/06/2017

The Allianz Cumann na mBunscol county finals took place in Glenavy on the longest day of the year. A couple of heavy showers aside, the weather held up for the most part during the day and in fact the biggest problem was the heat. All in all there were ten teams competing across four codes for the honour of being county champions.

Bunscoil Phobal Feirste, Belfast,  St.Patricks,  Glenariffe and   Mary Queen of Peace, Glenravel competed in the hurling and after three very close games it was the young men from Waterfoot who went home with the spoils after a super display of hurling. Throughout the level of skill was fantastic and trying to prise this trophy away from Glennariffe is proving rather difficult as this is the third year in a row they have managed to win this. This bodes well for the future of Oisin’s.

Pictured is the team from ST PATRICK’S GLENARIFFE WHO WON THE HURLING FOR THE THIRD YEAR IN A ROW.
