Curtain comes down on INTO Mini Sevens 2018   29/08/2018

Sunday September 2nd will see the curtain come down, however briefly, on what has been a hectic summer for Gerry O Meara who is Mini Sevens co ordinator and an officer of Cumann na mBunscol Náisiúnta.

With two All Ireland  hurling semi finals on the last weekend in July, two All Ireland football semi finals on the weekend of August 11th and 12th, followed by the All -Ireland hurling final on August 19th, Gerry and his team of Bainisteoirí, Team Mentors, goalpost carriers and others have scarcely had time to draw breath.

On Sunday, 40 boys and girls from all corners of Ireland will play on the hallowed sod of Croke Park, providing them with an experience they will treasure forever. INTO President Joe Killeen will greet players and their families in the Barbara Ward Centre off Clonliffe Road on Sunday morning and the day will fly by in a blur of activity as they savour the atmosphere of All Ireland Football Final Day.

In all, 240 boys and girls will have enjoyed the Croke Park experience by teatime on Sunday. Gerry O Meara will breathe easily then after another successful season.
