Cornmarket Cumann na mBunscol Awards 2019

Great prizes to be won!!!  

 

 

Category 1: Pat Trainor Hall of Fame Award: This award was instigated to remember a friend and colleague Pat Trainor. The object of the award is to honour a fellow teacher who has given years of service to Gaelic Games promotion. The winning nominee will receive two All-Ireland tickets for year 2018.  Nominations for this category can only be made by county or provincial units. 

 

 

 

Category 2: Public Relations: 1st Prize €500 2nd Prize €400 3rd Prize €300 Plus €100 for Runners Up

 

Coistí are asked to submit their PR work for the current year in this category. The folder could contain newspaper articles, magazine articles, fixtures booklet, annual publications promoting activities of Allianz Cumann na mBunscol.  Websites could also be included but cannot replace newspaper articles. Regarding presentation all entries should consist of a book (scrapbook, presentation folder, ring binder etc.) in which reports, photographs etc. are pasted into the pages. Loose clippings are not acceptable.

 

Category 3: County Publication:  1st Prize €500 2nd Prize €400 3rd Prize €300 

 

Simply submit your Annual Publication for inclusion in this award.

 

Category 4:  Promotion of Gaelic Games & Culture: 1st Prize €500 2nd Prize €400 3rd Prize €300 

 

Schools are asked to show their work in promoting Gaelic Games and Culture. This can target a single area or a number of areas – including football, hurling, camogie, handball, rounders, Respect Initiative, Go Games, Table Quizzes, Club School Links, Coaching Initiatives.

 

Submission in this category can only be via a digital submission in one of the following formats;

 

Powerpoint or Short Movie (Compatible with Quicktime) of no more than 5 minutes in duration.  This should be posted on a memory stick to the committee member as per below.

Iarrtar ar scoileanna tograí a sheoladh chugainn trí mhéan na Gaeilge chun taispeáint conas a chuirtear an cultúr agus na Cluichí Gaelacha chun cinn sna scoileanna. Is féidir díriú ar réimse amháin nó cúpla réimse éagsúla, lena n-áirítear peil, iomáint, camógaíocht, peil na gcailíní, liathróid láimhe, cluichí corr, comórtaisí Tráth na gCeist, comhoibriú leis an gcumann áitiúil, tionscnamh cóitseála, ‘Go Games’ agus ceol.

Category 6:  INTO 150th Celebration Award:  1st Prize €700 2nd Prize €500 3rd Prize €250

 

The theme of the award is the link between INTO members/primary teachers/schools and the promotion of Gaelic games in our schools.

 

Schools and/or Cumann na mBunscol Committees are asked to make a submit projects showing the promotional work and links.

 

 

 



The first place school in Category 7 & 8 will be presented with awards in Croke Park  in April 2019




 


 

Schools that promote Gaelic games in their schools are asked to submit entries to this section. Your work should show how you promote and participate in Gaelic games in your school. The work can be presented through articles /photographs and children’s work. 

 


Category 7- School of the Year: 1st Prize as below 2nd Prize €500 3rd Prize €500

 

Schools with a roll of 150 pupils or less

 

Category 8 - School of the Year: 1st Prize as below 2nd Prize €500 3rd Prize €500

 

Schools with 151 or more pupils.

 

Winning Schools 

 

Will be invited to Croke Park for a day where their award will be presented.

 

Stadium and Museum Tour for 30 pupils per school

 

€500 to each school towards bus transport

 

Lunch for 30 pupils and 3 staff

 

 

 

Closing Date for all Entries: Wednesday 9th January 2019
