All Ireland Football Final.
The All Ireland Football Final took place in Croke Park on Sunday 30th July in Croke Park. This was our last Mini 7 game of the season. 42 lucky children were selected to play in the half time game between Dublin and Kerry. What a game and what an experience!
The children assembled in the Barbara Ward Centre in the morning and the children, families and teachers were treated to light refreshments before moving to Croke Park. The children were welcomed by Bernie Ryan (An Coiste Naisiunta), Dorothy McGinley (INTO), Michelle Harte (GAA) The children were then brought to Croke Park by their team managers! What great excitement to enter Croke Park on All Ireland Final Day!
The children all received kits for the day - Dublin or Kerry and of curse two referees kits. This year's Young Whistlers came from Ath Cliath and were lucky to also meet David Gough on the sideline.
Photographs were taken in front of The Hill, while The Stunning played in the background. Mile buiochas to Larry McCarthy (GAA President), Dorothy McGinley (INTO) and Michael Naughton (LGFA) for joining the children on this special day.
