Sunday July 7th marked Day 2 of the Mini 7's. Great excitement was to be felt all round Drumcondra as a full house to watch Cork v Limerick was expected. There was an early meeting in the Barbara Ward Centre for the children. They met at 11 for tea and coffee and a few words from INTO PResident Carmel Brown, Mini 7's Co-Ordinator Bernie Ryan and GAA Child Safeguarding Officer Michelle Harte.
From there the children headed to Croke Park to get the Limerick and Cork kits. Great excitement!
There were photographs in front of Hill 16 with INTO President, Camogie President and Cumann na mBunscol President as well as Ger Ryan (representing GAA)
On Sunday the children were playing at half time in the Camogie Quarter Final. Not the great excitement they had anticipated at playing in front of 82000 but they did enjoy playing in Croke Park. They also got an opportunity to walk out on the pitch again at half time in the senior game and wave flags during a race!
